Since Salehe Bembury departed from the legendary house of Versace, sneaker fans worldwide have kept a close watch on the label to see what new footwear heat would drop next. And for the Summer 2022 season, Versace has answered the call and delivered with its new “Odissea” sneaker release.
Designed by Versace Bathroom Set in-house team, the shoe is comprised of a sleek leather upper with futuristic design elements and a multi-layer composition. A rounded toe with a perforated toe box leads the top of the sneaker to a 3D rubber lace guard that features an enlarged, laser-cut “Medusa” plaque. The tongue incorporates a fabric label tag with the “Versace” and “Odissea” font logo branding.

The middle of the sneaker contains part of the “Medusa” plaque lace guard’s rubber extension, while the back heel contains an imprinted “Odissea” font logo and a thick, raised midsole. A winged-back rests above a lugged outsole with slanted and grated demarcations.
With its aerodynamic approach to architectural design shape, the shoe first made its appearance in the brand’s Pre-Fall 2022 lookbook and Fall/Winter 2022 collection film. Now making its official debut, it arrives in several exclusive colorways including powder pink, black lacquer, white, ultramarine blue, metallic silver and caramel – with each variation having a solid monochromatic finish.
