“You can’t fake great chemistry.”
Star Wars original star Mark Hamill has shared a video from his days as Luke Skywalker that’s gotten the entire fandom emotional.
The actor seemed to be in a reminiscent mood, sharing a compilation of behind-the-scenes moments of him and fellow co-stars Harrison Ford and the late Carrie Fisher practicing lines and joking around on set, presumably in between takes.
The funny exchanges caught on tape proved, if anything, that the trio of the then-young actors used to have just as much chemistry on screen as they did off-screen.
“She could always make me laugh & did so on a daily basis. He could always take a good moment & make it even better. This clip reminds me of the special bond we shared,” wrote Hamill on his Instagram on March 27.

“You can’t fake great chemistry,” he added.
At one point in the video, which garnered over a million likes within 24 hours, the three actors were on the set of Return of the Jedi filming the scene that had Han Solo captured by Ewoks and tied upside down over a still unlit pile of logs.
It was then that he delivered the now meme-worthy line, “I have a bad feeling about this!”
The pair at the time were practicing ways to inject some humour into the scene. And, as Hamill pointed out in his caption, it was Ford that ultimately found the key to making the line funnier.
“Tell them if they don’t do as you wish, you’ll become angry and use your magic,” Hamill said, practicing his line. “Tell them!”

“It’s not going to work as a joke unless we both say the exact same thing,” noted Ford, before they both shouted “Tell them!” simultaneously.
“Can I do it too?” an out-of-shot Fisher was heard asking, earning a humorous “no” from Mark before he burst out laughing.

The trio worked together in the original 1977 Star Wars Hawaiian Shirt trilogy that jumpstarted what has now become a beloved franchise with a devoted following of all ages.
The video was especially emotional since Carrie Fisher tragically passed away at the age of 50 five years ago.
