The woman — the actress and artist Tabea Blumenschein, who also did the costume design for the film — buys a ticket to Berlin, “single, without return.” The purpose of her trip? To drink. She arrives in a red wrap-around coat with a funnel neck, a matching hat with a silk flower, and white gloves; with red lips and pink eyeshadow, it’s an over-the-top look for an over-the-top personality. Later, she changes into a black strapless evening gown, with a matching oversized bow atop her head, and massive gold earrings in the shape of swirly cones.
