Besides these exclusives, all players will benefit from the increased encounter rates for a number of other Pokémon that fit the Power Plant theme—and that’s not just limited to Electric-types. Some unique finds will also appear through the raid battles, so make sure you catch the event before it ends (and of course, all while keeping safe on your adventure) so you can add some legendary and rare Pokémon to your collection.
Power Plant Event Raid Bosses
Whether fan-favorites or simply being rare and strong Pokémon, players will for sure be excited about the raid bosses available during the Power Plant Event. For the one-star raids, you can go up against a number of Electric-types including Shinx, but you can also find Beldum, and certainly, Metagross’ power is nothing to scoff at. The three-star tier provides an interesting mix of raid bosses, with the evolved forms of regional starters as well as rare ‘mons like Scyther and Druddigon.
Lastly, for the five-star raids, we’ve got some legendaries on our hands. But watch out! Regice can attack you with Thunder, while Genesect can unleash Techno Blast. These strong moves do make sense given that it’s the Power Plant event, after all.
One-star Raids: Beldum, Blitzle, Klink, Pikachu, Shinx
Three-star Raids: Dewgong, Druddigon, Mawile, Monferno, Piloswine, Scyther, Typhlosion
Five-star Raids: Genesect, Regice
Power Plant Event Wild Encounters
In addition to the Pokémon you can find during raids, for the duration of the Power Plant event, you also now have a better chance of finding a selected number of ‘mons through your regular wild encounters in Pokémon Go. As they appear more frequently in the game, players can also encounter them as Shiny Pokémon so hope that luck is on your side!

For this event, players can expect to see many more Electric-types, including popular Eeveelution, Jolteon. Aside from that, what’s a Power Plant-themed event without the famous (or infamous) exploding Pokéballs—Voltorb and Electrode. Players can also come across the type-changing Porygon as well as the new arrival, Helioptile.

With the launch of the new event, a new Pokémon is also making its debut in the game, and of course it’s in line with the Power Plant theme. Players will get to see Helioptile and its evolved form Heliolisk arriving in Pokémon Go, with increased encounter rates for the basic stage.
Helioptile is a lizard-like ‘mon with dual Electric/Normal typing. It has great special attack and speed stats, taking advantage of moves like Parabolic Charge and the classic Thunderbolt. It evolves into Heliolisk with a Sun Stone, just like in the Pokémon X & Y games, plus 50 Helioptile Candy.
