Minecrafters can now Hadoken
A new collaboration has been released on Minecraft. It’s not a ferocious dog daycare, nor is it a full DLC, but it’s a fun development for those who miss old-fashioned fighting games.
Called the Warrior Skin Pack, 57Digital and Capcom have come together to bring a new pack for Minecrafters to enjoy. For those who are familiar with the Street Fighter series (also known as World Warrior), they have released 35 skins for players to choose from. These include classic street fighter characters such as Ryu, Luke, Ken, and Chun-Li.
As part of the release celebration, Minecraft is giving away one free Character Creator item for players to claim plus twelve paid character creation items.
While this is not a free DLC, like Crafty Costumes, Timeless Toy Skins and other Minecraft DLCs, the price is not too high either. On the Minecraft Marketplace, the Warrior Skins Pack is currently 490, putting the chat rate at a little over $2.00 to $3.00. For those of you who are fans of the Street Fighter series, or simply want an idea of fighting the creeps while exploring the world in survival mode, this could be something interesting for those Longtime fans of Minecraft or Street Fighter who love each other.
Whether this means other Capcom and Minecraft collaborations in the future – with possibly fighting Creepers or other monsters in the next Street Fighter game – is yet to be seen.
For those interested, the Warrior Pack is available now, for any Minecraft using the device – on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
