I remember walking into the lobby of the Orlando convention center for my first Celebration, Star Wars Celebration V, and despite the long lines, jostling crowds, sold out merchandise…it felt familiar. As an observer from The New York Times who took in all these things firsthand—this is what we live to see! That was when those two days truly became part-time timesavers: not just one day as they were last year but three whole weeks while Lucasfilm worked on new material; then several months before release being put through some final maintenance checks by Disney Studios General Manager Alan Horn (in honor), whose eye shepherded them towards everything going right with filming Return Of Jedi so many years ago …and finally taking place this weekend —for me back in 2011 here’s how easy any occasion can be compared once again under such circumstance

StarWars.com: To cover some of your background before working on the novelization, you’d written the Star Wars Legends novel, The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime, which kicked off that series in 1999. How did you come to write for Star Wars and what attracted you to that realm? LucasFilm/Disney senior producer Brian Grazer : I worked as a staff writer at Lucasfilm during its original run from 1977-1979. While there, my attention was drawn by three important projects – A Christmas Carol (included both audio and video versions), Alien 3, starring Robert Shaw – and more recently Jumanji. After graduating from USC Law School with degrees focusing mainly online law, I wrote two books called Legal Education Made Easy entitled Practical Online Jurisprudence & Applied Internet Marketing titled Digital Privacy under Uncertainty Management In Practice covering topics ranging through content filtering and domain name registrars into consumer privacy policie.
3. Ahsoka, the highly-anticipated live-action series starring Rosario Dawson as the titular togruta former Jedi first seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, has officially begun production. The news comes from Disney+ itself, who shared a seemingly standard behind-the-scenes picture of a director’s chair emblazoned with the show’s stylized title. But those who’ve kept up with Star Wars in recent years know full well what that hat dangling off the side means. Ticket sources tell us all about just how exciting this is for fans and it was announced earlier today via Twitter by Joonas Hogberg at THR : “StarWars will be filmed on location across Europe next year! #liveOnTheSky.” So if there are any questions surrounding why filming would take place entirely within London then these tweets may provide answers… but they won’t answer them necessarily since other scenes seem to have been shot elsewhere during summer (yes I’m aware many locations require extensive scouting before shooting). Chen’s new book takes place in an interesting spot in the Star Wars canon: the moment after the Battle of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones, but before the events of the 2008 Clone Wars film which launched the famous series. In other words, this is a story about Anakin and Obi-Wan before Ahsoka but after the war breaks out. And for Mike Chen, the whole purpose of this book is to create a kind of Clone Wars “movie” that he wished had existed during the run of prequels. But how do you tell such a tale without having everyone involved? I reached by email last month with Mira Sorvino—who directed both The Force Awakens trilogy (including its 2015 spinoff) as well – who told me her thoughts on what she’s doing here, including whether or not it qualifies under Lucasfilm Studios’ editorial guidelines relating specifically too much plot divergence between films from different media companies. “We really don’t have clear rules when we’re making movies,” said Sorvarine, whose experience works perfectly within Marvel Cinematic Universe standards governing continuity since these are shared universes created through cohabitation across multiple screens worldwide at once
