Two greater Bluffton organizations have planned events for next week to celebrate Veterans Day.
Dennis J. Becker American Legion Post 205 will host a Veterans Day parade at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 in the Old Town Bluffton historic district.
The parade route will begin down Alljoy Road near Pritchard Street and proceed down Calhoun Street, cross through the Promenade and end at Dr. Mellichamp Drive.
Officials said the parade will be canceled if there is inclement weather. For more information, call Mike Miranda at 843-304-1514, go to www.alpost205.org or email [email protected]

This year, the association will recognize the service of Korean War veterans who live in Sun City. Former state Sen. Lewis Vaughn, a Korean War veteran and past national president of the Korean War Veterans, will be the guest speaker.
The event is free and open to all Sun City residents.
The Sun City Veterans Association said it also plans to hold a dinner and dance to commemorate its 25th anniversary from 5-9 p.m. Feb. 5.
