If so, it wouldn’t match the realistic city, and the same could be said for the reverse. To solve this problem, ideas were taken from both themes and blended together.

- Nintendo Co. announced that the release of the Super Mario animated movie starring Chris Pratt will now hit theaters in Japan on April 28, 2023, four months later than originally scheduled. The film is being jointly produced by Illumination, a U.S. company responsible for “Despicable Me,” “Minions” and other hit films, and Nintendo. “Please give us some more time to make it a fun movie,” said Shigeru Miyamoto, who holds the title of Nintendo’s Representative Director and Fellow and is the creator of the popular game franchise. We get that Nintendo Super Mario probably thought that looking tough on crime was peak ’90s cool, but the fact that most pictures are in black and white (1995 was a long time ago, but we’ve just checked and it turns out color photography was already a thing back then), and the costume they picked for Mario really isn’t helping their vibe here.
