Although leaks related to the next Mario Kart installation have hinted at a lot of interesting potential gameplay details, the game hasn’t been revealed as some leakers expected. Nintendo hasn’t given a clear reason why Mario Kart 9 is taking so long, although the recent introduction of new DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe certainly sends a message about the company’s Mario Kart plans. For the moment, it seems that this extremely lucrative Super Mario spinoff series won’t get a new game, even as the Super Mario brand flourishes in other ways. 2. The franchise has grown into its current form over the years. 2.1 In terms not only of player base, but also revenue share and profitability, 2017 was an exceptional year with strong sales growth despite being mostly unprofitable (in contrast two previous times when total revenues increased). - With Super Mario Run specifically, points were raised analysing possibly, just possibly over-analysing the characters’ ethnicity, gender diversity, and body shape, among other things. Having two female characters netted the game points, although it didn’t do well in the ‘Sexual Orientation’ category as they’re all “presumably straight”. We’ve happened across plenty of fan art that would suggest otherwise, but this is a family site. Seeing well-established and iconic characters boiled down on diversity scales is… interesting, to say the least! There’s no denying that the Mushroom Kingdom cast isn’t exactly the most diverse crowd when it comes to representations of skin colour, but it’s also somewhat bemusing to see heavily stylised characters like Toad and Toadette classified as children. Hey, maybe they are! We never really thought about it. Perhaps I’m only seeing colours where there truly are none given how similar our backgrounds look (i/o landscapes such with wind towers can certainly draw attention), however by looking at screenshots taken from Nintendo Direct we know some differences between locales exist: New Leaf has an indigenous culture whilst Hyrule Castle was developed outlandishly due their proximity to Mount Daphnes. These details being said though what does make us wonder? Why have these countries had so many different cultures mixed together within one country instead – did each state choose its own cultural identity or simply create alternate ones based upon geographical area? As always please leave your thoughts below if you fee
- We get that Nintendo Super Mario probably thought that looking tough on crime was peak ’90s cool, but the fact that most pictures are in black and white (1995 was a long time ago, but we’ve just checked and it turns out color photography was already a thing back then), and the costume they picked for Mario really isn’t helping their vibe here. Like, how deranged is this thing? Even in pictures taken by Nintendo for Nintendo magazines, this looks like an imposter trying to make Mario look bad. Also, when I hear you guys say “you can only use up all of your points at once,” what’s stopping them from making him wear anything other than his mask over the shirt with one foot down while running around smashing stuff if he doesn’t have enough money left during those games or else… This reminds me of something Ron Howard said before seeing The Three Stooges: He looked kinda bored as hell after playing John Carter because there were so many action sequences going on; any more episodes later and Gary would be doing scenes featuring crazy gunslingers flying off into the night screaming about evil aliens who want to kill our civilization..

Such was the case with this particular display, which YouTuber Retro Rick discovered at a retro gaming convention in Ontario, California. The display was being sold by a booth in the dealer’s hall, with the display appearing to be in nearly immaculate condition. The toys are all present, the display box is in good shape, and it doesn’t look like it’s faded due to excessive sun exposure. For a collectible that dates back over 30 years in Mario’s history at this point, it’s been kept very well. After a bit of negotiation, Retro Rick was able to walk away with it for $570. It’s not entirely clear if the item was really worth that much, but gamers have certainly paid extremely high prices for similarly rare pieces of gaming collectibles and advertisements. In any case, Retro Rick seems to be extremely happy with his purchase, taking to both YouTube and TikTok to show off the acquisition. It’s definitely a considerable amount of money to pay for what amounts to a few old toys and a display case, but for many fans, this Super Mario Bros 3. collectible will likely bring them straight back to their early days of gaming.
